Well this is the best news to begin 2019, prior to this recent change it was costing $5 per employee per month for the most advanced scheduling and Time & Attendance system. We have a bunch of customers though that do not need the scheduling and some customers who do not want Time & Attendance, they just want scheduling.

This is a great question and one that pops up a lot, customers vary, many need to schedule every person that is working, some need to schedules some staff while others just need to sign in and sign out without scheduling. The most common place I find where customers want employees to sign in and out without a schedule is when labour costing is involved. Labour costing for employee attendance can be 1 of 2 things.

Option 1 – labour costing 

Sign in and out against the job. Many customers need to know how many hours are spent on a job, if you have multiple jobs and the jobs are long term you can schedule easily. If your jobs are short term or you have limited control over the start and finish time of the job then you need to be able to have the employees sign in and sign out without scheduling.

Option 2 – labour costing with cost codes

Not as popular as labour costing against the job but for the customers that need the data it is very easy to create an easy way for the employee to sign in against the job and the cost code, for example Job 1 – painting or Job 1 – cleaning.
